It is always important to keep the machine clean and free from abrasive materials. It will need regular greasing and we have recommendations in our manuals. If the machine is in constant use we would recommend after one year / eighteen months the head is cleaned, re-greased and possibly a new set of springs fitted. It is also recommended that the calibration is checked regularly and adjusted if necessary. With Power and Hand machines check the oil level, generally you will notice loss of oil and you will need to check the reason and top up to the correct level.
Go to the Distributor from whom you purchased the machine as they might carry some spare parts, or come direct to us. We will carry strategic spare parts for ten years and may well have spares for longer periods. If you want spares refer to your manual or contact us with the serial number and type of machine and we will try to help you. Refer to our web site where older machines can be found and identified.
Yes, simply contact us and we will send you another manual free of charge.
A good guide is to check what is stamped on the dies, this may well help us determine which machine it is, or alternatively you can look into our web site at the older machines to see if this helps you identify your machine. You can also take a picture and e mail it through to us - our engineers will then be able to help you.
For topping up the oil we recommend ISO 32 grade Hydraulic oil, for grease and lubricant please refer to your manual, both grease and lubricants can be purchased direct form us.
We have over the years produced a large number of special dies for all our machines, special lengths - special diameters - special shapes for freon - for brake hoses - for all sorts of different applications - please contact us with samples or drawings and we will try to help you.
We offer smaller dies on all our machines. The Compact 1 has a fixed die set but we can offer different ranges as long as they have a 10mm band I.e 5 to 15mm, 12 to 22mm, 14 to 24mm, please contact us if you need a different range. On the rest of our machines we tend to start our standard crimp ranges at 16mm to coincide with 1/4" one and two wire, for smaller sizes we have optional die sets starting at 6 to 8mm, 8 to 10mm, 10 to 13mm and 13 to 16mm.
Yes we have supplied all Europower Hand machines recently - Miniswage and Miniswage RV - our equivalent is the Compak 1, FS16 - our equivalent is the HE325 and FS24 - our equivalent being the HE425. We also made the Euroflare which we now supply as the Hydraflare, all of these can be found on the swaging or the flaring pages of our web-site.
Generally it is easier if the machines are returned to our works in Bath, where we hold the spares and equipment to strip and repair, if this leaves you without a machine we can offer a Service loan machine while your machine is being serviced. We can offer on site calibration and simple servicing - please contact our Service Department for more information.
Yes, if the machines are for Export out of the UK it is best to check which Country and we can check what the voltage should be, our electric machines have dual voltages and dual frequencies but there are some special voltages where we might have to rewind the motors - please check if in doubt.
