Product Description:
Description
The burst protection valve, or flow limiting valve, was developed for safety reasons. The valve is designed to prevent a dangerous, uncontrolled discharge of high pressure gas in the event of pipeline or component failure. A sudden drop in pressure across the valve, resulting from a downstream line failure, automatically causes a spring biased spool to move across and shut off the flow. The flow rate at which this shut off occurs is set by means of a lockable metering spindle which determines the area of control orifice.
Features and Options
Manufactured in various materials Increases safety for most high pressure gas systems. Shut off at approximately 1 bar pressure drop. (alternative springs can increase or decrease sensitivity) Manual or Auto reset options Suitable for pneumatic and hydraulic applications. Standard port size 3/8" BSP, alternatives on request.
